Advanced
The Advanced section provides additional settings for managing your Space’s map configuration and data.
Regenerate nav mesh
Section titled “Regenerate nav mesh”The green overlay visible on your map is the navigation mesh (nav mesh) - the walkable surface that Spaces uses to determine the best route between any two points. It is built from your VPS scan and shaped by any doors, obstacles, and walkable area settings you configure.
When you regenerate the nav mesh, you are rebuilding this green area from scratch based on your current settings. The nav mesh updates automatically when structural changes are made, so you should rarely need to do this manually. If routing does not appear to reflect your changes, click Regenerate nav mesh to force a rebuild. You do not need to regenerate after adding or editing landmarks.
Nav mesh regeneration may take a few moments depending on the size of your environment.
Upload a preview mesh
Section titled “Upload a preview mesh”By default, Spaces displays the 3D mesh from your VPS scan in the editor viewport. If needed, you can upload a separate preview mesh - for example, a cleaner or simplified version of the space - to use in the editor view instead.
This does not affect the navigation mesh or the routes generated; it only changes the visual reference displayed in the editor.
Delete all landmarks
Section titled “Delete all landmarks”The Delete all landmarks option removes every landmark from your Space in a single action. Use this with care - this action cannot be undone.
Deleting all landmarks will remove them from the live experience immediately. Individual landmarks can be removed from the Landmarks panel if you only need to delete specific entries.
