Spaces

Zapworks Spaces is a no-code tool for creating app-free, indoor turn-by-turn navigation experiences. It lets you turn any complex environment - from industrial facilities and corporate campuses to public venues and museums - into a guided wayfinding experience that runs directly in the browser, with no app download required.

Spaces combines a 3D scan of your environment with a visual positioning system (VPS) to provide accurate, real-time indoor positioning. Once your space is mapped, you can add landmarks, define walkable areas, and publish a navigable experience accessible via a QR code or link.

Visitors and staff simply scan a QR code and are guided with clear, turn-by-turn directions displayed on screen, with spoken instructions available for screen reader users.

  • App-free - Spaces runs entirely in the browser. No app installs are required, and updates to your environment are deployed instantly.
  • No hardware required - There is no need to install beacons or any other physical infrastructure. Spaces uses VPS technology to provide accurate positioning.
  • Multi-floor wayfinding - Navigate across multiple floors and buildings from a single experience. Map once and extend across any number of levels.
  • Accessible by default - Spaces includes built-in stair and step warnings and is screen reader compatible, delivering spoken turn-by-turn instructions when a screen reader is active. See Accessibility for more.
  • Multiple entry points - Place QR codes or links anywhere in your venue. Users can start navigation from any point, not just the scan origin.

Spaces currently supports MultiSet as its VPS provider. MultiSet supports scanning via its dedicated app or by uploading an existing Matterport scan through the developer portal.

Additional VPS providers, including Auki and Immersal, are coming soon. Get in touch if you’d like Spaces to support a specific mapping solution.

Zapworks is ISO 27001-certified. Spaces supports SSO-enabled access controls and flexible self-hosting options for deployments that require full control over data and infrastructure.
